We want juniors! From the novas to the experienced shooter if you are interested in the shooting sports Snake River Sportsmen (SRS) has a place for you. SRS is a multi discipline shooting club whose matches are open to club members as well as the general public.

Family Day at the Range

Saturday, May 22, 2010
Snake River Sportsmen’s Club, Ontario, Oregon

Open to age 9 and older.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult during the entire workshop.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

DESCRIPTION: Open to ages 9 and older, this workshop will teach basic shotgun skills, firearm safety and handling, terminology, shooting techniques and marksmanship. Beginning and intermediate shotgun skills will be taught shooting trap and skeet. Learn firearm safety and handling and how to hit your target. This workshop is designed for beginners, but all skill levels are welcome.

COST: $10.00/person with a maximum of $30 per family. Registration fee includes the use of all necessary firearms, equipment, instruction, materials and lunch.

One of the programs that we are very proud of is our junior?s programs which include shooting all year around and the NRA YHEC (Youth Hunter Education Challenge). Junior shooting programs are available in such disciplines as small-bore rifle, air rifle (precision) and air rifle (sporter), we also have equipment for shooting high power, high power service rifle, air pistol, BB gun, and practical pistol. SRS operates an out-door range near Vale Oregon, an indoor range in Payette ID. and a shotgun facility near the air port in Ontario OR. Snake River Sportsmen is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, The Director of Civilian Marksmanship, the National Skeet, Trap, Sporting Clays Associations, the Idaho Rifle and Pistol Association, the Oregon Shooting Sports Association, the Idaho Practical Shooter?s Conference and most of the governing bodies of all shooting disciplines. Over the past 25 years, the membership has accomplished an unbelievable task in the construction and maintenance of one of the premier shooting facilities in the United States at the Vale outdoor range.

Snake River Sportsmen?s 2009 High Power Rifle Schedule-

Dear Competitor,

This schedule is being sent to everyone who competed in our High Power Rifle Matches in the last three years in an effort to make it somewhat easier for you to plan your High Power Rifle Season for the year 2009

I am not enclosing Match Programs for these matches in an effort to keep postage costs down. I would, however, be more than happy to send the appropriate Match Programs out to you by mail or e-mail should you need them. Sign up time for all Approved Matches and Club Matches or Clinics is 8:30 AM and firing will commence at 9:00 AM. For the Registered Matches ( Idaho High Power Rifle Championships) sign up time is 7:30 AM and we will start firing at 8:00 AM. For all new Long Range Competitors the Palma Matches are shot at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards sighters and fifteen rounds at each distance. We are going to do the Bolt Action Military Match and the Appleseed Programs again as turnout and enthusiasm were high for both events. By going to the Fifth weekend in August we have managed to squeeze a few more events in this year. I hope this works out for you
