Do you want the perfect .22 pistol to shoot competitively Both gunsWhether you are just starting out or have been shooting for a long time, there is nothing like the Tactical Solutions PACLITE. This pistol is just fantastic, in fact, AWESOME, doesn’t do it justice. I have seen and shot a lot of .22s over the years. Many of them have cried out, buy me, buy me. The PACLITE screams SHOOT, SHOOT!

This gun is based on the Ruger Mark II or Mark III. To start our project, we first ordered two Ruger Mark IIIs which were covered in Volume 3 Summer 2008 issue of Junior Shooters magazine ? The Ruger Mark III Still # 1. Ruger Mark IIIs blue & stainlessThe Ruger Mark III is an absolutely great pistol and many people use one for shooting .22 steel, .22 rimfire, competitions, plinking and hunting. It is an all around great gun and an excellent packing gun when hiking, fishing, or being in the outdoors.

Tactical Solutions gives the Ruger Mark III even more character and makes it even better with colored grips, colored receiver, fluted barrel, a cool looking compensator, weight reduction, and improved accuracy. These guns shoot! Since they are a little lighter than the original Mark III they are also easier for young juniors to shoot. The compensator helps reduce recoil and muzzle jump so it is easier to keep the sights on the target after each shot. These guns just cry out COOL!

front sights both gunsThe silver flutes on the colored barrel are integrated with the receiver so they are all one piece. The fiberoptic front sight makes picking up the front sight on quick shots fast and smooth. The compensator, which screws off the end of the barrel if you want to reduce over-all length, reduces recoil and adds to the appearance of the firearm.

Each gun comes with a colored fiber optics front sight, a picatinney rail for scope mounting, and a rear sight as part of the rail that is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. The magazine release, safety, grip frame, lower frame, and trigger are the original Ruger Mark III?s components. Blue gun, recoil, flame, Sarah holding gun only

Operation and function is the same as with any Ruger Mark III. I must admit we had a little trigger work done by our gun smith Robert Krone at RK Gunsmithing. He lightened the trigger pull and smoothed it out reducing creep. All of these items ended up making our two PACLITE’s really, really, sweet!

It gave an amazing group and I was able to shoot it fairly fast without taking extra time in between shots. Aimpoint right side of red gunThere was little recoil, so this pistol would be great for a speed match such as the Steel Challenge.

The balance was better than I could have imagined and the grip was unbeatable! I loved holding this gun. The size was unique, but in a good way! I loved the sights! The sight picture was easy to see and the adjustment was easy to control. I loved the color! It was a very cool red.

Dallin testing gun for groupsThere was not a lot of recoil though the gun is lighter than the Ruger Mark III. The lack of recoil was not only due to the caliber, .22 Long Rifle (LR), but also due to the compensator at the end of the barrel. Function and performance was very smooth and the slide movement was very slick. I have never had a jam with this gun and it was very easy to operate! The magazine release was placed right at my thumb and was easy to push and release the magazine. This gun is amazingly accurate! A lot of that has to do with the light trigger pull, custom barrel, and sight picture.?

Groups were as low as 0.5 inches at 15-yards.

There are many top notch shooters that prefer the PACLITE from Tactical Solutions. Some of them include: Lena Miculek (Daughter of Kay and Jerry Miculek) and Ashley Bolda (14-years old) both who posted excellent scores in the .22 Rimfire US Steel Nationals this year at Titusville, Florida. Another is Kaci Cochran who shoots both USPSA and Steel and is an outstanding shooter. Both Ashley and Kaci also write for Junior Shooters.

Blue gun left sideWith the 6-inch threaded end silver fluted barrel, receiver, & compensator, the PACLITE’s cost is $350 plus the original cost of the Ruger Mark II or Mark III An adult can actually purchase the set and convert the Ruger Mark III themselves (it requires an Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer as the receiver has its own serial number.)
